There is the Keiyo Coastline Industrial Belt at the west of Chiba which has 40 km long on the Tokyo Bay.
Oil refineries, chemical plants, steel plants and power generation facilities are the core plants in the industrial belt. These plants produce precious raw materials and energy and gather a wide variety of manufacturing companies around them. Many plants are transferred to other countries especially China and other Asian countries but they are still operating here to produce the most-advanced materials as mother plants and R&D center. It means that there is much of knowledge and knowhow and you can get in touch with them if you stay here.
